NOVAK DJOKOVIC v ROGER FEDERER
5-7, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5

While everybody was awaiting the potential final clash of Nadal and Federer to happen at the NY Open in the Finals, Novak Djokovic was making different plans.
Djokovic saved 2 match points, in astonishing fashion, to defeat Federer in an epic semifinal.
Federer, the five-time champion here, had played in the final the last six years.
Federer had beaten Djokovic at the NY Open in each of the last three years.
It was a great match with the last 3
games containing some of the best hitting of the entire tournament.
Federer played well, and Djokovic admitted he just closed his eyes during the
crucial points and hit his forehand as hard as he could!
Sometimes it pays to trust your skills and go for broke! Djokovic could
have lost with such daring play, but instead finds himself in the NY Open Final!
