2010 MIAMI OPEN
4th Round
TOMAS BERDYCH v ROGER FEDERER
6-4, 6-7, 7-6

Czech Tomas Berdych saved a match point in a pulsating third-set tie-break to snap an eight-match losing streak against Roger Federer and send the top seed crashing out in Miami.
Berdych used his huge forehand to blast past Federer and advance to the quarterfinals.
Berdych is usually mentally fragile, but this time, he continued to use his weapons and it paid off with the victory.
Federer, however, was clearly off his best game, hitting many easy slice backhands into the net.
Still, Federer was grinding away and even a sub-par Federer effort is still enough to win.
Roger had the match on his racquet but this time came up short.
Berdych chipped and charged but left the ball sitting up for Roger to deliver one of his signature backhand passing shots.
But Federer's shot was slapped into net to give Berdych a chance to serve for the match. Berdych pounded a serve and an authoritative forehand into the open court to finish off the world #1.
Federer is left pondering his early exits on the US hardcourts as the tour now switches into the European clay season.
Is Federer merely waiting for the Grand Slam events, or has his game fallen? (stay tuned!)
