Australia's Sam Stosur caused her second major shock in succession at the French Open with victory over world number one Serena Williams in the quarter-finals.
The seventh seed from Brisbane backed up her win over four-time champion Justine Henin in the previous round by saving a match point in defeating Serena Williams.
Stosur's tremendous kick serve and powerful forehand has been the key in getting this far,

but against Serena, she needed to use her speed to chase down some well hit balls into the doubles alleys.

Sam hit the several of the best shots of the tournament as she hit some running cross court winners from deep behind the baseline.
