Federer knows how to raise his game in the big matches and proved it once again in the final.  He came out firing and just couldn't miss as he dominated the opening set.

The Swiss great fended off a challenge from Djokovic in the second set and his own level of play fell off just enough to make it closer, but in the end, Federer won his

3rd Cincinnati Masters championship which makes it his 61st career titles and 16th at the elite "Masters 1000" level .

Unfortunately for Djokovic, his week of stellar play did not end in victory. 

He has lost in the finals of 4 Masters events this year.. all at the hands of Federer, Nadal, and Murray. 

A frustrated Djokovic raised his hands up to the heavens after he finally won his lone game of the first set. 

Djokovic rallied in the 2nd set as he got an early break, but Federer came back to take the title.

When Federer is playing at the top of his game, he has shown that even the top players don't have a prayer.
