2008 BARCELONA OPEN
FINAL
RAFAEL NADAL v DAVID FERRER
6-1, 4-6, 6-1

Rafael Nadal won his 4th consecutive title in Barcelona after beating compatriot David Ferrer in the final.
Nadal is a machine on clay, virtually unstoppable after winning 103 of his last 104 matches played on the clay surface.
The two Spanish players know each other games very well, and Ferrer tried to overpower Nadal and hit flatter shots that
would not give Nadal enough time to chase down the shot. In the second set, his strategy worked to perfection, and broke
Nadal's string of 25 winning sets in a row . But Nadal took control of the match again and used his amazing quickness to set
up his forehand to power his way to victory.
