ROGER FEDERER v NOVAK DJOKOVIC
7-5 6-3 7-6

Federer flirted with disaster in a previous match against Tipsarevic, and this time, he could not escape as Djokovic soundly defeated Federer to advance to the finals of the 2008 Australian Open.
Federer was off his game all match. His groundstrokes went into the net, and he couldn't chase down balls and make magical shots when necessary as we have grown
accustomed to witnessing every time Roger takes to the court. Maybe Federer was still recovering from being sick, or a lack of motivation, or just had a bad day.
But Djokovic's play was impeccable. Many players have had chances to beat Federer, but they always seem to get nervous and let the moment pass. But
when Novak had opportunities to hit passing shots or hit a big serve to win a game, he made the perfect shot. Djokovic put it all together.... great strategy, great shotmaking,
great anticipation, and great movement to soundly defeat the world number one.
