2007 MIAMI MASTERS
FINAL
NOVAK DJOKOVIC v GUILLERMO CANAS
6-3, 6-2, 6-4

Serbian teenager Novak Djokovic
became the youngest winner of the Miami Masters with a convincing win over
Guillermo Canas in the final.
The 19-year-old 10th seed dominated his Argentine
opponent from start to finish to win in two hours, 19 minutes.
He claimed a total of six aces, converted four of seven break point
opportunities and had just one double fault in the contest.
Djokovic, who lost serve just once in 59 games in the tournament, sealed the win
with a forehand winner.
Canas played extremely well, as he had all tournament, running down ball after
ball and making his opponent hit multiple amazing shots to win the point.
Djokovic was more than up to the task as he used both powerful groundstrokes, high kicking serves, and repeatedly showed amazing touch on drop shots
that even the lightning quick Canas could not retrieve. An amazing tournament for both players, as Djokovic showed he should soon share top 3 status
with Federer and Nadal, and Canas is ready to be in the top 10 after 2 victories of Federer and a finals appearance in Miami.
