2007 AUSTRALIAN OPEN
3rd Round
ROGER FEDERER v MIKHAIL YOUZHNY
6-3, 6-3, 7-6

Defending champion
Roger Federer maintained his imposing start to the Australian Open with another
straight sets victory in the third round.
Federer, yet to drop a set in the tournament, took just over two hours to
dispose of the 25th seed Mikhail Youzhny.
Youzhny is a proven tough opponent as shown last year at the US Open, and acquitted himself admirably yesterday.
Locked in a third-round battle, the Russian clouted 25 winners, unleashed seven aces and made six fewer unforced errors than the man on the other side of the net.
The only problem for Youzhny was that his opponent was Roger Federer.
Federer finessed 40 winners and lost only nine points on his underrated first serve throughout three sets.
