JAMES BLAKE v NIKOLAY DAVYDENKO
6-4 , 6-2

James Blake earned another shot at beating Roger
Federer by dismantling Nikolay Davydenko in the Semi-Finals of the Cincinnati
Masters.
Blake won four straight games against Davydenko during an explosive shotmaking
battle from the baseline to seemingly bust open the first set.
But Davydenko broke back to level the set and Blake
had to earn another break to win the set.
Blake broke for 3-1 in the second set and later sealed the match with his fifth
break with a spectacular crosscourt passing shot on the dead run to improve
his unbeaten record against Davydenko to 6-0. Blake has never beaten Federer, currently 0-6, so it will be a true test for him in the Final. Blake has been playing
fantastic tennis all week, and the fast courts suit his game perfectly, so this might be his best chance.
