LLEYTON HEWITT v ANDY RODDICK
6-4 7-6

Fifth seed Andy Roddick claimed a surprise victory over third seed Lleyton
Hewitt to reach the final of the Cincinnati Masters.
Roddick, who had lost his last three matches against the Australian, served well
to secure a 6-4 7-6 victory.
Roddick hit 24 aces to get the better of Hewitt and also suffered a cut to his
elbow and hand when he slipped while running for a Hewitt drop shot.
"I didn't want to come in here and explain why I lost to Lleyton again, to be
honest." said Roddick.
Hewitt said: "I felt like I had opportunities out there and didn't quite take
them.
"Tonight, a few points here and there and it could have been a different
result."
