Kuznetsuva vs Dementieva
6-3,7-5

Ninth seed Svetlana Kuznetsova hammered 34 winners and four aces to beat Elena Dementieva 6-3, 7-5 in the first all-Russian US Open women's final in New York today.
Completely dominating the court with her ferocious forehand, 19-year-old Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia became the most surprising winner of the US Open in the Open Era.
Rarely displaying nerves and eating up the sixth-seeded Dementieva's serves, the ninth-seeded Kuznetsova played a super aggressive contest and won the match when she whipped in a 96-mph slice second serve winner.
The muscular daughter of two world-class bicyclists nailed 34 winners to only seven from Dementieva, 23 from her forehand side.
